This is a two-part change from the previous two seasons of Jersey Shore. The Jersey Shore finale air date of October 20 means the fourth season of the MTV reality show will only include 12 episodes instead of 13. Also, the Jersey Shore reunion traditionally airs the week after the finale episode (in this case Jersey Shore Season 4 Episode 12 'Ciao, Italia') rather than immediately following it.
MTV originally announced the Jersey Shore finale would air on October 27 - but it appears one episode has been cut. MTV did not comment on why the season has been abbreviated.
As Examiner.com has previously reported the Jersey Shore finale will include yet another major situation. This time the Situation contemplates quitting the reality show and not filming Jersey Shore Season 5 in Seaside Heights with the rest of the cast.
